This is a 12-page fictional gaming magazine, titled 24/7. People play a variety of games at a range of hours, hence the name of the magazine.
The articles featured throughout this magazine are self-written. Assets are assorted from various media and gaming companies, each sourced appropriately underneath each image directly. The Back 4 Blood Cover Art is used for an advertisement, however, additional text has been added overtop, original cover art and the game is owned by Turtle Rock Studios.
This is the front page of the cover, designed to showcase Overwatch 2's information as the primary article for the magazine. It features Overwatch's Tracer dominant on the screen to showcase what the main article is about without cluttering the page around her.
The primary focus of the page is looking at Tracer, seeing her colour scheme and noticing how that was brought into the slash of the title - making each issue of the magazine feel authentic and unique to each main article.
The front cover is simple, as the idea is to create a page that can be seen and understood what the magazine is about when it's down on a table. The text at the bottom of the page uses a simple font to convey to the reader of what else is included within the magazine - promoting the external articles but not trying to shy away from Tracer being the main focus.
The second page features a full-page advertisement for the game titled Hytale. This advertisement is aimed towards viewers who are interested in the game and want to know more as the next issue will be including information about the game.
Following the front cover, the slash has changed colour to part of the Hytale logo's colours, making it more personal towards each issue.
Below is the contents. A simple design allowing for the pictures to do the talking for each article. The primary colour on the page is the colour from the slash on the front cover, again bringing in that synergy from the cover throughout the magazine. This page also features the article information and the magazine information, such as writers, producers and ABN.
The primary article discusses Overwatch 2. The article is written and displayed across two pages. The same colour is used from the slash into the title, showcasing the relevance.
At the time of this article being written, September 2021 all information was correct and checked appropriately.
Continuation of the article. This page features a small advertisement below which is a Steam gift card giveaway to members of the magazine, it contains some basic terms and conditions as well.
Continuing with the same premise, the title colour matches the main theme, being Nintendo's colours. Spread across two pages the article features three facts about Nintendo and their franchises spanning across their previous generation to currently distributed.
All information found within the article is correct as of September 2021.
Continuation of the Nintendo Game facts article. This page features another advertisement shown in the Halloween Sale for Steam, incorporating common Halloween tropes being pumpkins and ghosts, with the ghost custom designed for the advertisement.
The last article is split into two parts. The first explores two upcoming titles releasing in 2022, Stray by BlueTwelve and Destroy All Humans! - Reprobed by Black Forest Games.
The second part of the article lists titles releasing in 2022, while dates were unknown at the time, they were provided clear times and had a 2022 release date scheduled at the time of writing, being September 2021.
The second part of the third article showcases some upcoming early games and popular games across consoles for general gamers or fans to sink themselves into.
Featured on the right side is a Humble Bundle advertisement, at the time of the publication (Sep. 2021) they just raised $200 million towards charity, so bringing this into an advertisement showing a variety of games that people can purchase with funds going to various charities globally is a fulfilling service.
The final full page advertisement. This advertisement features the cover art for Back 4 Blood - it was not custom made. The only additions to this advertisement are the text at the top and bottom of the pages.
General information about the magazine, such as subscription costs and information, including the upcoming issues of the magazine enticing people to subscribe.
The back cover of the magazine was designed to present the front cover, featuring Lucio instead. The decision was made to incorporate the front cover design to make both the front and back cover memorable, such as if it was placed down with the back cover upwards, you'll know what magazine it is from the representation and similarly to the front cover.
Continuing with the same theming on the front cover and the first advertisement, the slash in the logo is different representing Lucio, with green being his primary colour.
